Anthropic has announced a major update to its AI chatbot Claude, introducing seamless integration with the popular design platform Canva. This new feature allows users to create, edit, review, and even publish designs directly within Claude’s AI chat interface, eliminating the need to switch between multiple tools.
How the Claude–Canva Integration Works
The integration is powered through a dedicated Canva MCP (Model Context Protocol) server and requires a paid Claude subscription. Access to these features also depends on the type of Canva plan the user holds.
This update is part of Anthropic’s broader strategy to transform Claude from a basic chatbot into a smart, autonomous AI collaborator capable of handling creative and operational tasks. With this new functionality, Claude users can now interact directly with third-party apps and services such as Stripe, Figma, Prisma, Canva, Asana, and more.
